What well known university taught you to say I graduate instead of graduated and then say I ARE working in the community. Tell me the name so I won't send my kids there. Please! And you sound more prejudiced than most of the other "white folk" posting. I don't think of myslf as too prejuidced but I have to agree with the poster that said, "get over it" or "Build a boat". I don't care what race that woman is. She should be charged with child endangerment & neglect! And the right quote is remove the speck from your OWN eye etc. You'd think an "educated" woman like yourself would know that. And how to spell PILL or even RUBBER. Wow..Some people really don't have a clue. Ice Cube produced a show a while ago called black/white. It followed two families one white and one black. The families switched roles, the black family became white and the white family became black thanks to the magic of makeup. Until you have walked in the shoes of someone of the opposite race you really have no clue. By the second episode the white family realized that everyday freedoms that they have as a white person arent the same freedoms experienced by blacks. Sure blacks can walk into a store and purchase goods...but not without being followed by a manager and store owner. Your assumption is that if black people are educated, and aren't lazy, they will excel. Then why do so many whites have a problem with Obama? He's educated, has a clean track record, and is kind to others. The truth is racism lives and why? Please take the time out to read the Jim Crow Laws. I believe white americans are the most unaware group of people on earth. You allow what yuo have been brought up to believe cloud the truth.

85. As for the people that are commenting on people being racist and how they thought this nation has changed as a whole..let me tell you a TRUE story of racism as you know it in reverse. It just so happens that some WHITE people are discriminated just as much as BLACK people. Here's why I say this: At one point in my life my husband was out of work and I had been a stay at home mother that was pregnant with a second child. Things were tight during the time it took for my husband to find a new job. We went to the local DHS office to try and get government assistance. We had no money for groceries and couldn't pay our rent or utilities. My pregnancy was a difficult one and I was ordered to bed rest so I was unable to work myself. Anyway, we were DENIED any assistance from the government. You know why? We drove toon nice a car. We didn't have the credit to get another car. And the ONLY way we even had a vehicle was a friend of ours had let us take over payments on his car. We did this before my husband was layed off by the way. We were in shock! Why the hell do we pay taxes? How come other people can get help? We are a white couple that DO NOT use drugs. We ended up having to live off donations from local churches and the help of family. Eventually we were able to get by.
A few years later we had just moved back from living out of state. Once again we faced not having money coming in until we found work. I was determined not to let the system screw us again. Now we had 4 people to feed. I decided not to wash my hair for 5 days before my appointment for food stamps so it'd be greasy and unkept. Instead of wearing clean clothes and looking like respectable drug free citizens I went to the laundry hamper and found the dirtiest shirt I could to wear. I put on a pair of sweatpants. I didn't wear makeup or brush my teeth. After all poor people can't afford toothepaste or shampoo,right? I went to my appointment and spoke with the representative. At the end of the meeting I asked for a list of the local food banks so that I may provide food for my family until we heard something. Wouldn't you know that 2 weeks later in the mailbox I opened up a FOOD CARD!!! For the record, I'm not just an uneducated poor white trash southern female. Just a casualty of bad luck. I despised government assistance up until the point I HAD to get it to provide food for my family. It was hard to swallow my pride to ask for it. But I did. BOTH times, my caseworkers were of the black race.
Another point: We have something in our state called a BLACK expo. Now how the hell would people react if we started up a WHITE expo??? We'd be called racist. What about the BLACK Miss America pageants? We don't have a WHITE Miss America pageant. If we tried to prevent a black female from competing there'd be a lasuit because we were discriminating against the black race. What would happen if I took my happy WHITE ass in to sign up to compete in this BLACK Miss America pageant??? Do you think I'd get to be competing? I don't think so! You can have Black pride, but can't we have White pride just the same?? I apologize if you think that I'm being racist, I'm not. Just stating the facts. In fact, my best friend is a black female. I just hate that people always play the racist card just because someone states a fact. I'm just asking that people look at things from ALL angles. And I'm a big believer that anybody on any government assistance should be required to pass a drug test. The same as many jobs require you to do.
Let's try not to rant at someone because they used their right to freedom of speech, shall we?
