61. Common sense ppl--NEVER leave a child unattended in a body of water...that includes a wading pool, bath tub, even a bucket. that mother should be ashamed of herself. Wonder where the father is or fathers of these kids for that matter.

62. Hope they take her kids away till she gets a grip!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would hope anyone would know that you should never leave any small child alone in the tub!!!! What was she thinking???? Or drinking???? Just don't understand how you would opps......forget and then send in your other kid to check on them. Hope the child recovers and is found to be ok.

63. 35. I'm shocked at the comments posted on this blog. I truly thought that as a Nation we have progressed and evolved past ignorance, racism and hatred exhibited in some of these comments. I never heard of Nancy Grace before (but quickly googled her information) and from what I read: June 26, 2007 -- NANCY Grace is revealing that she was secretly married in April-and that she's expecting twins in January. She's not the epitome of sainthood either (do the math!)

Find out the truth first (the marijuana usage), no stories (police, credible news report) has verified that this is actually the truth. Once someone spun "weed" into the story, you automatically were on the warparth. This is no different than WHITE women who FORGET their babies in the back of the car sometimes for hours with detrimental outcomes -- the point, ACCIDENTS happen in every RACE!

Regarding names of Blacks: Did you ignorant people ever think that perhaps Black people (such as myself) take pride in having the FREEDOM that was TAKEN FROM US during Slavery to choose our own names? Guess you never thought of that -- Then you spoke about her being 25 with 5 kids -- I was there once too. It's a proven fact that Blacks tend to keep their children while Whites give up or abort theirs. She chose to give life to her children. You can't determine a person's worth because she's 25 with 5 children. I was 24 with 4 children (not the best scenario, but my choices then weren't good). I became a mother at 16 (because of former abuse), yet today I stand proud. In 2007, I graduate with a 3.883 from a well known University, are active in the community and married to a wonderful man (2006) -- all of my children live with me. I am an example that "you can start you life over today to change into a better person -- we fall down, but we get up". I'm now in the MBA program on full scholarship and work full-time for a Fortune 500 company.

65. I agree totally with 7 on this one!! I have three kids 15, 11 and 2 years, NEVER have I left my children at those ages and even older alone in any bodyof water!!!!! Nor do I leave it the older kids responsbility to watch the younger one!!!!!!!!!!! I am outraged that she is no being charged and these kids are not taken!!!!!! It is a shame that animal cruelty gets more time than crime aginst a child!!!!!

66. I was watching Nancy Grace last night and the 3 year old was submerged in 8-10 inches of water. Also, the child has a history of seizures. I hate that this happened to the child and the mom should not even have the children in her custody. Good job momma. Choosing AI over your own children.

68. READERS: FYI and clarification. I live just outside Indianapolis and I too read this story in disbelief. Sirius is the little 3 year old girl who was found submerged in the tub along with her 1 year old sister Sereena.Neither one of them should of been left unattended but unfortunately it happened. What was the 1 year old to do other than pee in the water? It was my understanding from the article that they were in about 18" of water and kids can and do drown in a lot less.The update I have read says that she is still in the hospital in serious condition. At the family's request, they are not releasing much more information. Marijuana was found in the apt.& there was a mention of an adult male, husband(?) father (?) boyfriend (?) at the time of the incident. We know that Mom was busy watching American Idol so who knows what the hell he was doing.The oldest, Daesheana (age 7) said something to the effect that she hated being the oldest because she was responsible for her siblings.That's a pretty heavy burden for a child! I think eventually there will be charges brought against the mother. Time will tell.

It was on the evening News, that they are in fact flooding the Grand Canyon, at a cost of 3 Million dollars.
It is a big "experiment" to see if they can get more sand in there and get some of the wildlife and Plantlife growing again.
They have unblocked the Dam and are realeasing over 300,000 gallons of water per sec. in to the Canyon. You will not find this in any books for quite awhile.
