Angry Viewers Demand Gay Love

There's plenty of making out happening on "As the World Turns," but fictional boyfriends Luke Snyder and Noah Mayer are getting very little action. The couple hasn't kissed on screen since September!

It seems as if viewers are not pleased, according to the LA Times. They've started a letter writing campaign demanding the show give the couple some steamy scenes.

Included in the campaign for action is a countdown clock tracking the hours since the couple's last kiss and an online petition.

62. I am a working mom & wife and I watch Soaps at night on Sopanet. I do not watch this soap, but I do watch All My Children and when Bianca had a girlfriend they never showed them kissing. I don't not find anything thing wrong with women/women b/c they are soft and gentle, but man should be more manly and strong. I dont think we are ready to see man on man action on daytime yet!

66. Sooner or later, it will be the bible-thumping homophobes who will be "tolerated but not accepted" by the majority. But unlike being gay, you can actually evolve from being an @sshole.
I'm curious how people preach the bible, but act very unchristian when judging homosexuality. Some of you need to look up words like oxymoron and hypocrite. If you think people can change from being gay to straight, then you must have once been gay--otherwise, what do you know? And for homosexuality to anger you so much, you must be scared to death of being gay yourself.
Also, being gay isn't synonymous with promiscuity, as so many people here seem to think. It's not about sex; it's about who you're attracted to.

68. If you haven't seen the Luke & Noah storyline, you should. It is a sweet, innocent story of first true love. There are no sex scenes, no lewd sex talk, and ... the reason for this TMZ article: very little kissing. Maybe three kisses in eight months.

Come on, who could be bothered by that?! They are in LOVE, they are cute, and they are gentlemen. They are not sex-crazed monsters ... like many soap characters are.

Now, what's up with Nina and other haters like her? Telling her kids it would be wrong to live a gay lifestyle. Why is it wrong? What horrible things have happened to you at the hands of a gay person?
