Time for a Good Ol' Intervention

TMZ has been reporting for weeks that Britney's family and some professionals in her life have been planning a "creative way" to deal with her mental problems. It looks like the time has arrived.

Sources told TMZ "if it happens," it should happen this week. Last night, Brit's mom, Lynne, her dad, Jamie, cousin Alli, as well as Sam Lutfi and Adnan Ghalib all showed up at Britney's house and were all there at the same time.

Brit's mom and dad (and others) have known for months that a bipolar disorder -- and not substance abuse -- is at the root of her problems. They cannot involuntarily commit her (impossible under these circumstances) and Brit has refused to voluntarily enter a hospital or even undergo evaluation for the problem. But now the plan is underway.

Here's what's significant: Britney has not spoken to her mom for a while -- no contact at all. Last night, Britney and Lynne (along with Sam) left the house at one point and went to the drugstore, so it seems they are now interacting.

There were signs last night that Britney didn't feel as warm toward her dad, that she didn't want anything to do with him.

This move has been in the planning stages for well over a month. It should begin to unfold IF Britney cooperates, and that is the wild card.

BTW, this "creative" intervention is different from what her divorce lawyers pitched to Commissioner Scott Gordon last week. They are not involved in this one.

Stay tuned ...

61. Yawn. I'll pay attention when this bitch is ready to have evening tea with Heath Ledger. That day...I'll tune in TMZ. I'm sure you won't skimp on the details

62. From what's being reported all over, Britney had a home visit from a psychiatrist yesterday. I'm guessing they have a preliminary diagnosis. They went to the drug store last night to get Brits new meds. I'm glad Britney is finally accepting help. I hope these meds do the trick.

63. Cha Ching. No matter what happens with this girl, her mommy, daddy and all her hangers on make money. If she gets the help she needs and gets back to singing, cha ching for all. If she doesn't get help and continues her path of insanity, cha ching because she is still in the news. Everybody wins, except those two boys. It's a win win situation for all in her camp. Help, no help it doesn't really matter to them. Having her face, crotch, boobs etc. on the face of magazines and blog sites does matter.

64. The only reputation TMZ and all these other trash news sites have, is that they're making a fortune off of all of us and that's all that matters. The more garbage they can get out there, the more we will come to see what it is. WE fuel them, it's our fault that this has gone on the way it has. If no one even bothered with this stuff do you think TMZ, X17, Perez and the rest would still be around? Hardly! They'd wither and die a quick, silent death once and for all. The paps are there to make money and the more money they can make the more of them will come out of the pits of hell to claim it. But, again, that's our fault, aswell, because we fuel them, too. Don't blame Britney, Don't blame LiLo, Don't blame any of the celebs for doing what they do because most of them aren't doing anything any worse than most of us have done or wish we could do if given the chance. Blame ourselves for our sick desire to live the "glamor" through them. Live the fantasy that's really not there. We're all human regardless of age, race, and whatever position we hold in life. In the end, it's the end. That's it. What will any of it matter then? It's a shame, to be honest. There's so much more going on in the world that as a collective we would make huge positive changes towards a better life for all of us, yet we sit here and obsess over Britney and the story of her life as it is played out second by agonizing second. And I'm just as guilty as the rest. So what do we do? It's a puppet show and we can't look away. God bless you, Britney. My wish is that your life turns around for the good.

66. It is really pathetic to watch the decline physically and morally of these youngsters that have it all handed to them on a silver platter. They are dramatic, troubled, self-destructive, pathetic brats that have no idea of what is really going on in the world and what REALLY matters!!! We have loved ones sacrificing the ultamate price, thier life, for freedom and liberty against the growing evil in this world! I'm sure those who lost thier life and all that knew them would give ANYTHING for another chance to turn the hourglass over and start again! THESE SELF-ABSORBED, UNGRATEFUL MORONS like BRITTNEY, LINDSEY, PARIS.......etc. should have to experience ONE DAY of what these people have gone through. AMERICA in general should reflect back to 9/11 and the days after.... for a short time, we quit the petty bitching and BS and realized what was more important. God, Family, Country.

70. What year does Lynn think it is? What is it with the white lipstick???

71. Its been rough for her, with Heath Ledger in the news all week. Knccking her off the front pages....cuts into her income from the paps.

72. This is all promotion for tonight's Zoey 101 premiere. Her family doesn't care about her. This intervention's for some other purpose!

73. I really hope she gets the help she so obviously needs. However, I am still confused, why all the trips to the various convenience stores? What is the real purpose for doing that? I'm sure anyone of her peeps could do that for her? Why would you want to go out and have all the phot-togs crawling all over you to get your picture. She really needs to get the hell out of this area. I can't imagine all that she is going through and her family, and those babies. It would be difficult enough for a person without celebrity status to endure, but to have to do it in the public's eye, adds much more caos to the situation.

74. If California code is similar to other western states, the reason she was released after her protective custody hold was that while she met the main criteria (danger to self, others, or grave disability), other factors were in play (i.e substance abuse) that prohibit continuing the hold. SO....clearly she has both substance abuse and mental health issues at play.

75. I really hope Britney can get the help she needs. I know a lot of people with bipolar disorder and one of the toughest things to do sometimes is get them on or to take their meds. Hopefully this is the turning point she needs to get better.
