Celebrity Justice
Judge Gives Foxy an Earful

Jailbird Foxy Brown wanted to go to California to have her ears checked, but a Manhattan judge ruled she can have them treated right here in NYC.

Judge Melissa Jackson, calling the motion "desperate and frivolous," said Foxy "failed to provide proof" that a coast-to-coast trip was necessary.

Now she'll have to get the green light from the Department of Corrections -- and then the Department of Health -- to get her hearing treated in NYC.

Foxy's serving a one-year sentence on Rikers Island for violating her probation on assault charges from 2006.

17. I think it is sad that people on this blog would say the mean and nasty stuff that they say about this person, afterall she is human too it is not up to us to judge her for her actions. If she is deaf the judge should allow her to seek the treatment that she needs. Just think if it was you in this situation, this is the problem with this country we are so preoccupied with other peoples lives that we do not we have lost our sence of morals. Never let someones misery your entertainment. I am not condoning what she did, however I'm not laughing at her and writing horrible stuff like ha ha either. In this day and age anybody can go to jail for anything so don't laugh it could be you in there someday.

18. I'm deaf. I had hearing aids up until I went completely deaf. With my cochlear implant, I function like a normal hearing person, and my speech is like a normal hearing person. Her "poor me I'm deaf" deal is an insult to me and any other hard-of-hearing or deaf people out there. She needs a rude awakening on life. She does not need any special treatment. Kudos to the judge.
