Jessica Says There's B.S. in OK!

Jessica Simpson is fighting mad about an OK! magazine article about her relationship with Tony Romo -- and she's called in the dogs -- aka, her lawyers.

Jess is pissed over an article titled "Jessica Dumped!" that appeared in the February 4 issue of the mag. The article claims Tony dumped Jessica after his team was eliminated from the NFL playoffs. Simpson's attorneys say the article is "utterly false" and "is based on nothing more than rumor, gossip and innuendo." The article also claims Jessica's sister Ashlee has attempted to "distance herself" from her sis. The lawyers say that's B.S. too.

Simpson's lawyers have sent a letter to OK!'s Editor-in-Chief, Sarah Ivens, claiming OK!'s article is bogus, adding that Jess and Tony are still together and that Ashlee and Jessica remain close. The attorneys say the article reflects a "smear campaign" and has subjected Simpson to "public contempt, ridicule, aversion or disgrace."

The lawyers want OK! to "immediately publish a prominent and unambiguous" retraction.

182. I don't know about the Tony Romo part, but to even suggest that Ashlee Simpson and her sister Jessica aren't close is TOTALLY & UTTERLY goddamned laughable!! (HAH!!) She was the first one there for Jessica after her marriage to Nick Lachey imploded. Hell, Jessica has publicly stated in the press, numerous times, that her sister was key in getting back to her normal after that.

Do you see other celebs sending threatening letters? Over a supposed breakup?! And where is Romo in this? I don't hear him complaining!

191. I feel sorry for her. She never gets a chance because the world lines up to crucify her. I am also suspect of Mr. Romo. Seemed like he dated her when it was convenient for her, then buckled under pressure from his peers. Of course, I'm speculating, but if he didn't really have feelings for her, why date her for so long? Don't blame Jessica for all of this. She can't help it that she desperately wants to find love.

As for all of the nasty comments from people here regarding Ms. Simpson, I don't know what else to say other than being perfect must be such a burden to you all

She needs to date a regular guy. Someone who's not a celebrity. Someone who will give her the dedication and affection that she deserves. The problem is since the media treats her only as eye-candy (constantly questioning her intelligence), the poor woman doesn't stand a chance.

I wonder how many people, if they truly look within, are nothing but jealous of her.

192. Jessica Simpson needs to man up and grow up. Shouldn't she be worrying about her upcoming oountry album rather than what tabloids say about her relationships? It's just a way to try and get public sympathy. Not buying it and really can muster any sympathy for her whatsoever.

195. OK magazine is a rag. Did anyone catch the video posted here earlier this week with some loser from OK chasing Kerri Russell down the block looking for comments on Heath Ledger. People get a life!!!!! Heath's friends & family should be allowed to mourn in private with crappy wanna be reporters chasing after them begging for comments. I hope she does sue them & I blame Sara Ivens "She's the Editor of that garbage magazine"!!!!! Maybe it will send a message to all of those junk magazines that it's not OK to print whatever you want whenever you want. I say GO JESSICA!!!!!!!
