R. Kelly's Publicist: I Believe I Can Quit!

R. KellyRegina Daniels, who worked as R. Kelly's publicist for 14 years, has formally announced her decision to end all ties with the platinum pisser. What took her so long?

In her statement, Daniels writes, "I have prided myself on loyalty, respect and professionalism. It saddens me that I was not always shown those same courtesies during my 14-year tenure as Mr. Kelly's publicist ... There are some lines that should never be crossed professionally or personally. Mr. Kelly crossed a line that forever altered the scope of our relationship. For this reason I made the decision to resign." Daaaaaamn!

Five years ago R. Kelly was charged with 14 counts of child pornography. He has yet to go to trial, but proceedings should kick off next spring.

76. America is the modern day Rome. Those in power or with deep pockets have chosen a path that will only lead to its downfall.

77. Thanks Vanity

Didn't see the video but I do know for sure 100% that robert needs an intervention. He is so far gone that he will need extensive mental health care. For the Daniels to move on from Robert is a statement in and of itself. Regina and George stuck by that fool through thick and then. She was even there defending though the Aaliyah marriage questions. If there is legal action I hope regina will follow through. That is also part of his problem people come forward for a payout but never press criminal charges this is part of the reason that he thinks he is above the earth above the law. Come on Rob get the help that you have needed for a longtime. Its not really all about you anymore you have two daughters and a son watching their father. Start setting a better example for you and the kids not just with your money but your morals too.

78. Set a better example? GET REAL! This guy doesn't give a damn about setting examples!
He molests and then PEES ON CHILDREN! He is a canker sore on the butt of society! Get a grip ... dip!

80. if he hasn't been brought to trial it's because they're trying to secure enough evidence against him.. while it seems like he has a lot of evidence against him it might not be enough in the prosecutor's eye to win it slam dunk wise.. that's my opinion anyway, from working in a law office..

81. He could not have sexually assaulted her. She was way too old for his kind of woman - someone less than 14 years old.

83. 6. Fourteen-year tenure? That makes her, what, 26 now?

lmfao That was actually brilliant! :-) R. Kelly is a card-carrying member of NAMBLA. Also likes to probably jerk off to the Nifty.org Archives.

84. Dailyorange, Eric and Vanity are the only two posters I've seen that make any sense. They kept their comments to the point and didn't use race to justify their beliefs.

For me, I was once an R. Kelly fan as well but now I won't listen to anything he makes past 2000. I am like that with Michael Jackson too (with him, anything past 1993).

As one of you cats pointed out, R. already has history. Remember Aaliyah? Even VIBE broke that story! Though Kelly denies it, there is an actual marriage certificate in Detroit that proves there was a marriage when she was 15. Plus, if you go back and listen to the song "Vibe" from when he was with Public Announcement, he mentions Aaliyah! Thank God her parents and uncle cared enough to get her away from him! They still should've reported R. to the police though! Final note on Aaliyah, at least her career was saved and she is remembered mostly fondly now. RIP to her.

Back to Kelly, he apparently didn't learn his lesson as he seems to be still doing the same sh*t! True, he did marry a woman of legal age and does have kids (daughters no less) by her but sometimes I think that was a cover much like some gay men. They marry women to keep the fact that they are homosexual under wraps. I think that's what Kelly did here but his secret is FAR worse.

I agree the only reason this hasn't gone to court is that the prosecution doesn't have enough evidence to nail him. I think that concenseous is right on that. They probably feel that if they take him to court now, they probably would lose. They don't want that.

Finally, in closing, to those who are trying to use this to paint a picture on all black men......GROW UP AND GET A LIFE! This isn't about race but for the record, most sexual predators like this are usually older white males! Do black men screw up? Hell yeah but don't try to use this as a forum to spread your ignorant views. This is about a growing problem in everyone's community whether you are black, white, asian, hispanic or whatever! Let's keep it that way. And yes, this is a black man saying this.

86. Yo R. Kelly
This is RoK...Do you need a good publicist. Give me a link, we can work out a 1 month trial, as long as you can agree to this...MY GAME...YOUR RULES. What do you say?

87. to # 89

Um......Yes set a better example. Robert has three children who look up to him( they are young )especially his oldest daughter. No matter how bad this dude is he still has three children who are innocent in this and what they see is father. His actions can scar them just as much as the other girls he has molested. No he doesn't care about anyone not even himself and its still not all about him. His children will suffer too from this madness that he is bringing on himself so like i stated before he needs intervention and he wont get it until someone breaks him down in a court of law.-FACT
