54. First, I have to say that while R. Kelly should be in jail, there isn't clear cut evidence to take him yet so he should still be out legally. I also think its time to take some of these young girls to task too. True, they are minors but at 12, 13, 14 years of age, you should have some sense of right and wrong.

On the Elvis thing, even if they did wait until they were married to have sex, why would you want someone at 14? That alone should raise eyebrows! R. Kelly's a perv, no doubt but don't try to make Elvis out to be some saint. King of Rock n Roll or not! I feel the same about Michael Jackson too. What all of these guys have in common is that all were great artists but couldn't control their vices. Elvis, giving him some credit, was smart enough to stop with Priscilla. R. Kelly and Michael wasn't as smart.

Finally, some of the comments here are bordering on racial if not in fact racial. Apparently, most can't make a comment without adding racial insults or some political view.

55. The people who continue to defend this R Kelly have some real misogony issues. The comment aobut the young girls who have been abused by Kelly are at fault. The likelyhood of a black woman being raped or sexually abused is higher than any other race and is least likely to report it because in the black community it's always the woman's faul grown men are never responsible for their actions. The reason 14 year olds are not allowed to drink, drive or own weapons is because they are not capable of giving consent. What 14 year old (before the video came out) would not have been impressed by the attention of a famous and wealthy entertainer?

I worked in the music industry and this was the worst kept secret in the biz. Everyone knew he had a thing for girls, especially poor ones with family issues. He also does not like them too pretty, so they are grateful for the attention - it's called grooming.

For all of the R Kelly apologists, he married Aallyah, R Kelly apologists when she was 15 to the shock and horrow of her parents. The forged marriage certifcate is matter of record in Cook County and were published in VIBE magazine when the scandal finally broke. This why Barry Hankerson, Aallyah's uncle and Kelly's manager dropped Kelly as his client and set up another Blackground records at Virgin so Aallyah could leave Jive, Kelly's label. After that she never worked with Kelly again.

Also the police and prosecutors have determined who the girl is and her age. The singer in question who fingered Kelly, is Sparkle who Kelly produced two albums. She identified her niece (so I think she had an oblication to go to the police) as the girl in the video. Her teachers, friends and other family member have identified her as well. Only the girl, her parents and R Kelly say she and himself for that matter are not the people in the video.

If you have enough money you can drag a case on forever. Ms. Daniels knows what's up and if it's true that Kelly hit on her kid then she is an embarrassment as a parent for not reporting it to the police.

57. They don't have enough evidence. Those tapes are inconclusive. I guess they are looking for more concrete evidence because right now they have nothing. That is why it is taking so long.
