Wrestling Legend Fabulous Moolah Dies

Fabulous MoolahThe most famous and recognized woman wrestler, Fabulous Moolah, passed away last night in South Carolina, the WWE announced today. She was 84.

Born Lillian Ellison, the WWE says that she "was the longest reigning champion in the history of her chosen sport, or any sport for that matter." She even held the title as recently as 1999, becoming the oldest champion in the history of wrestling.

She was inducted into the WWF Hall of Fame back in 1995, the first female wrestler to receive the honor.

17. Wow! She seemed so healthy the last time I saw her on Raw. RIP, Moolah. She was a fantastic wrestler and entertainer up until her last days.

19. I remember when she was in that Cyndi Lauper, Lou Albano, Wendy Richter thing in the 80's on MTV, that ongoing battle. That was hilarious. A great entertainer that will be missed.

21. R.I.P. Moolah. Definitely a class act in the corrupt world of pro wrestling. I am sure she didn't use steroids....then again...she didn't need them. She was talent personified and always put on a top notch show for the fans. Gonna miss you Moolah.
