Maddox's Preschool Cuisine -- For la Creme de la Creme!

Fresh cod served with steamed broccoli and couscous -- the main course at a lavish New York gala? Nope. It's what Maddox Jolie-Pitt had for lunch yesterday at his private Manhattan school. Bon appétit!

Little Maddox attends the prestigious Lycée Français de New York on the Upper East side. Cameras captured Angelina taking Maddox to school last week, wearing the latest in private school haute couture. C'est magnifique!

Today, according to the school menu, Maddox can expect to dine on vegetable chunks soup, rotisserie chicken, green bean almondine, white rice, and yogurt or fruit. Kinda makes that Hot Pocket you were going to microwave look pretty bad, doesn't it?

92. Why is everyone being so harsh? This child grew up in an orphanage and his parents give plenty of money to good causes. Why can't their children have the best when they know what type of suffering their is in the world. And no, the kids won't grow up to be spoiled, rich brats because they've seen what type of horror their is in the world. I grew up very poor and now that I'm a mother, I want the best for the son...why would anyone want to deny a child the best?

93. The meal was just fish with broccoli and rice. They put foo foo names on the dishes so they can charge more. Break it down to a basic meat and 2 veggi meal and they eat the same as everyone else.

95. to #57. First of all, "Cambodian" is NOT a language - you mean "Khmer". Second of all, it is not uncommon for parents who value their children's education to send them to a Lycee, as these schools have an excellent reputation the world over. I live in Ottawa, Canada and here it is very common for anglophone parents to send their kids to a Lycee in order to receive a superior education. These schools may be "prestigious", but they are certainly not elitist or snooty in any way, nor do they cater only to the wealthy.

96. No public school for Maddox. Not for this lucky winner of the orphan lottery.

97. Angie and Brad are trying to give their son the best education that their money can buy.... In any country, in any state. If I had the money, I would do the same.....!!!!! When you pay the big bucks for a school, you expect that kind of lunch. In New York, even though we pay taxes through the nose, public school kids eat macaroni and cheese (maybe) and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and hot dogs for lunch in school. Give the kid a break...let him enjoy his school and lunch in peace!

98. My grandson is 7 and in the second grade, shouldn't Maddox be in at least 1st grade? If I had the money my children and grandghildren would have gone to private schools.

100. 92 comments so far re: what Maddox had for lunch. I love it. America is a great country. He had to come here to have the opportunity to eat a healthy lunch and go to a school his parents can afford. Today is 9/11/07. Six years ago today, we were all very concerned about something else. May God Bless America and the freedoms all the servicemen and women fought for since the Revolutionary War.

101. Peanut, peanut butter, jelly, jelly- So how did he get into this school so suddenly? Must be a waiting list. Doubt they filled out an application over a year ago. They were in New Orleans doing the school gig there.
