Celebrity Justice
Benoit Had Steroids in His System

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says steroids were found in the body of pro wrestler Chris Benoit, who killed his wife and young son last month before hanging himself.

Benoit's wife Nancy had "therapeutic levels" of Xanax and hydrocodone -- a generic Vicodin -- in her system when she died.

Investigators said they did find extremely elevated levels of testosterone in his bloodstream -- enough to say that Benoit was using the hormone when he died. They claim this is evidence that the wrestler was injecting himself with the steroid.

17. Testosterone can still be elevated even if steroids weren't taken with six months to a year if he was using them heavily prior

19. Get your facts straight before you report TMZ! It might help if you actually wait until the press conference is OVER before you post your story.

20. The WWE was of course screaming that this was not a steroid case. Baloney.

21. I usually love to read TMZ, but this story is a completely inaccurate description of what was revealed at the press conference. Get your facts straight.

22. TMZ gets it wrong again! Double check your facts folks before adding more sensationalism to an already overblown tragedy.

23. It is really sad that we may never really know the truth of this situation, to say the least, through all the information that they want to release to us. Will we ever know what was
happening that day?

24. I just finished watching the press conference....AND HE CLEARLY stated.....No Anabolic Steroids were found. The elevated testosterone was not at a performance enhancing level....yet I come to TMZ, and they sensationalized headline reads....STEROIDS FOUND.

Just goes to show the irresponsible, and unethical journalism of TMZ...but what can I expect.

26.
There were NO ANABOLIC STEROIDS found in Chris Benoit's system. To report otherwise is simply a pathetic attempt to make up facts to match the stories of roid rage that have been spread by irresponsible media such as TMZ.

I listened to the press conference live. Did you?

27. I hate people that report things when they don't watch the entire feed of video!!!!!!!!!!!!! TMZ needs to wait until the end of the report and then tell people the TRUTH!!!!!!! Now don't get me wrong, I am also shocked by the entire situation, but the fact is that there were NO STEROIDS found in Chris Benoit except testosterone. They also tested for GHB which of course NONE was found in any of the three of them. All media owes a HUGE apology to WWE and to the remaining family members of the Benoit family. There is no reason to make what happened in this one situation affect WWE as a whole. People make mistakes people!!! Would you stop watching one of your favorite actors if they did something like this? I THINK NOT!!!! Even though this situation is extremely severe, there is no need to blow it up like this.

28. Did TMZ actually watch the press confernce? That is not what they said at all. How about a correction?

29. Reach out and be kind to one another. Maybe all of us can begin now and make this a more compassionate, kinder "world," whatever your "world" is. It has to start sometime and with someone. Why not with us?! No one has a right to take another's life, but do not judge another person, until you "walk in that person's shoes."
God Bless the Benoit family (rest in peace), family, friends, and strangers. We can make a difference. Let us begin now. A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.

30. I know you're in such a hurry to be the first to post the news on your website, but you really should've listened carefully to the ME and not report what you think you understood and what you really wanted the report say.
THE ME DIDN'T FIND ANY OTHER STEROIDS IN HIS SYSTEM. TO BAD THE REPORT DIDN'T HAVE WHAT YOU EXPECTED, SINCE THIS IS WHAT THE MEDIA WAS FOCUSED ON (STEROIDS). NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPENED TO CAUSE THIS TRAGEDY.
