Scary Spice's Kid -- Officially Named a Murphy

Eddie Murphy doesn't believe he's the father, but Scary Spice Melanie Brown gave her baby daughter the name "Murphy" anyway.

TMZ has obtained an official copy of a birth certificate for Mel B's daughter Iris-Angel Murphy Brown, born April 3 in Santa Monica, Calif., months after the former Spice Girl and the comedian split. Interestingly, the section that lists the child's father has been left blank.

Cameras caught Eddie at a Beverly Hills doctor's office Monday where he was reportedly undergoing a paternity test. The "Dreamgirls" star told Dutch TV in December that any assumption that Eddie was the little girl's dad was "presumptuous," adding "I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test."

A rep for Murphy refused to comment on the actor's personal life.

124. E Murph is a teeny-weeny joke. What a major loser and I think he is on his 7th kid. He has an additional kid that he didn't have with his wife, the drag queen.
He is soo gay he is happy. He just uses these dumb chix as BEARDS. He is so family. If Spice girl were smart she would tell him get lost and keep his $$$. I understand that all the Spice girlz are very wealthy from their 15 minutes of fame. She doesn't need his $$ or rotten character.

127. scary spice spent all of her back in the day spice girl money. She is broke. They has bold management who did not give them information on signing a good contract. Posh is only rich because of her husband. Look at the other spices, one is doing a spaghetti sauce commercial. Eddie is not the type to screw and leave. Obviously he had reason to believe the child may not be his. Why would he risk his successful career for someone who has no career! She wanted to be the black Posh and Beckham! Had she been faithful to him, maybe they could have been a power couple like Posh and David!

130. With the number of fatherless kids in African American community, I am ashamed of Eddie and his behavior. How about a more appropriate "yes, I had a relationship that may have resulted in the birth of a child but I prefer to keep my personal life personal. Between his childish behavior as a potential father and his childish behavior surrounding his Oscas loss, it was a good performance, not a great performance, he needs to go to personal responsibility rehab.....

133. Eddie is a low life scum-bag, the way he treated that girl is clearly typical of someone who is so into himself. I hope his current squeeze doesn't end up in the same boat, anyone who has fathered that many kids, has no rescept for women, how can he be a good father, when there not being brought-up by him.
