TMZ received a hilarious video of Sanjaya explaining that his "real" name is Bill Vendall, and that he is an art student at the Rhode Island School of Design. He "created" Sanjaya as part of his thesis, explaining, "The character was part of a larger art installation." That still doesn't justify the hair!

Sanjaya (or is it Bill?) also declares that you haven't seen the last of him, saying, "I might pop up on your favorite situation comedy. I might run for President. I might show up as you." Oooooooh, scary.

91. Yaaaawwwwwwn. It amazes me that no talent hacks who get their 15-minutes of shame are given more attention than talented artists and actors. Great job TMZ in helping these types of idiots stay in the hearts and minds of the sheep who swallow this drivel night and day. Happy thoughts and useless news items for the joyously ignorant.

93. How do we know this is even Sanjaya and not some look alike. He is wearing sunglasses for a reason. Maybe to hide the fact that they are NOT the same person. Ya think??

96. If it's true, Sanjaya/Bill just got himself booted off the AI tour boss. That makes him stupid.

If it's some similarly tanned guy with a digicam and a sense of humor, nice job. TMZ got a few extra hits, and you can brag to your grandkids that you got a few minutes of fame.

97. Ohfer gods' sake! Anyone can see it's not the same guy! Sanjaya has an extremely square chin: this guy's is round with a faint dimple. Not to mention the accent. Anyway, that guys is NOT Sanjaya but it's a pretty funny vid!

101. UM his name is really Sanjaya Malakar.........its a popular indian name, and then also his sisters name is Shymali Malakar! And yeah its his real name and also whoever posted that most indians are liars EF U indians are wonderful people

103. HUH? this doesn't make sense! Why would Bill/Sanjaya be in a confession video long after his spotlight died, and why wear sungglasses if everyone knows him already! LIKE HELLO IS ANYONE HOME! Anybody with half a brain can tell that this isn't Sanjaya, the REAL Sanjaya would probably ditch the sungglasses and admit that he's really Bill Whatshisface. PS: If it is Bill that means that the "Sanjaya" in the video isn't Indian. LIKE DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

104. Ok, I go to Rhode Island School of Design and I don't believe him at all. Why if he was an industrial design major would he do this? It has nothing to do with industrial design. Second that video was completely stereotype art student and not at all what a real RISD student would make. And third he doesn't show up in any of the School Mug books (the directory of any student attending RISD) for the past 4 years. No I don't believe this at all.

105. Sanjaya is possibly the most creative talented entertainer to come upon the scene in years! Only those dull members of the TV audience who have absolutely no imagination or sense of humor or sophistication will fail to appreciate him.
