Rapper Eve Busted for DUI after Maserati Mash-Up

TMZ has learned that rapperista/actress Eve was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after she crashed her gold Maserati on Hollywood Boulevard.

Eve (real name: Eve Jeffers) was driving in Hollywood around 2:45 AM Thursday when she hit the center divider, totaling the front of her car. TMZ was on the scene, and observed that after cops arrived, they placed her in handcuffs, and (according to our staffers) she was "visibly upset" as they led her into a squad car. We've learned that there were two people in the car with Eve at the time.

The multiplatinum-selling Grammy winner starred with Vin Diesel in "XXX" and had her own self-titled sitcom on the UPN.

Eve LeavesTMZ is standing by at the Hollywood division, Los Angeles Police Department.

UPDATE: TMZ has confirmed that Eve has just posted $30,000 bail and was released from Los Angeles County Jail. The rapper covered her face, as she was picked by yet another Maserati.

46. Eve is a terrible driver. TRUE STORY: About 4 years ago I saw her pulling into a parking spot behind ChinChin at Sunset Plaza. We had just pulled into one of two available spots which were separated by a car. A Land Rover comes flying around the corner and slams on the brakes right before the last remaining spots. I look and it's Eve. She starts pulling into the available spot and completely sideswipes the Camry in between our two spots. The car's driver side was scratched and dented for its entire length. Eve gets out, walks to the space between the cars, looks, doesn't say a word, and walks off.
What a b!tch.

This is about punk ass celebrities YET AGAIN getting away with stuff normal citizens would never get away with like DRIVING DRUNK! I dont care if you are white, black, or purple if you are driving drunk your ASS needs to be locked up!

Paris and Nicole both need thier asses in jail...!! Eve too.

what is so disgusting is they can pick up the freaking phone and call someone to pick them up, but yet again maybe they dont know how to dial?

58. Eve should not have been drinking and driving, but I don't appreciate the way that the "BIG WHITE COP" grabbed her and forced her into the car.
She was handcuffed and if she was drunk then she could have lost her balance and fell....DID THEY HANDLE PARIS HILTON LIKE THAT???
Did anyone else see that but me???...COME on LAPD...treat a female with some respect!!... FYI....That s why people in the urban communities have a problem with them ... abuse of authority!.....That was just uncall for!!

She was drinking & driving, therefore she broke the law & is a criminal, so he must treat her like a criminal.
& also, you're so blind, there was no force. was he supposed to gracefully carry her into the vehicle?? hell no.
