20. Rosie being an advocate for children and all, how in the world can she support what Alec Baldwin did to his child?

Do you really think this was the first and only time he has been verbally abusive to Ireland? Possibly even physically abusive?

I don't. I think its the only time the public heard exactly how he has treated his child.

Team Kim all the way here.....a mother will go to the ends of the world to protect their child from an abusive father...and she has done everything including facing possible jail time to do just that.

Bottom line is this: If this had been a republican, that was caught shouting at his child, using very verbal abusive language, Rosie would be calling the Child Protective Services......not "welcoming" him on THE VIEW....

21. I hope Baldwin sues his ex and her attorney for leaking the sealed voice mail. It's obvious that the ex and her attorney wanted to annihilate Baldwin because of his unsavory and verbally abuse tirade by leaking the tape to the media, which the judge presumably ordered to be sealed. I'm also inclined to believe that the kid has been brainwashed by the mother against the father. I guess it wasn't enough that the judge took visitation privileges away from Baldwin. The ex had to further cause embarrassment. The judge should've ordered family counseling for all of them. The ex has a definite agenda and it's to ruin Baldwin's reputation. I don't think it's going to do any good his going on the View. I know I don't watch it, and especially could care less about the Rosie-factor.

23. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, excuses a parent calling his child a pig. I can understand anger, I can understand losing your patience, but a tirade against your kid at that level is inexcusable. He is an egotistic, loud-mouth bully, always has been and probably always will be. Anyone who feels sorry for him is a fool.

24. I just love how people come to judge so quickly, we aren't privy to all that went on in the Baldwin/Basinger marraige and we don't know what has happened since. It must be so nice for all of these people passing judgement to be so high and mighty and so superior to the rest of us falable humans to let us know how awful and deplorable we are.

26. So he's doing damage control to try and undo some of this mess. He's notorious for outbursts such as this; this one was just A WHOLE LOT more public than he had intended. This was NOT an isolated incident. He's just severed ties with his agent and does NOT want to lose custody. DAMAGE CONTROL! i don't give a damn WHAT he has to say.

28. #9/carol ard ---- I think that they are friends or friendly outside of work -- IMO, that is the reason she is not striking out against him -- because she knows a little more that we do about what is happening on the inside with Alec & Kim.
I would love to think that not everything is political - I would like to think that this is one of those moments - who knows - I may be wrong

Bottom line is that the responsiblity for his actions lie with him, not Basinger, Ireland, or anyone else. He's an adult.

My ex tried to bait me for years, but if you don't TAKE the bait then it doesn't work. They stop jerking your chain when it stops working.

I'm not assuming Basinger is baiting him by the way.......she could be trying to protect her child. (I would). Baldwin's famous for his abusive behaviour. Basinger is not the only one to claim he's abusive. This is not the first time he has behaved this way.
