Anna Nicole's Last Film Is a Cannes Do

Anna Nicole Smith in Anna Nicole Smith's last film, "Illegal Aliens," will make its world premiere next month at the Cannes Film Festival -- after it's released on DVD in the U.S. on May 1. Doh!

Initially, the sci-fi "comedy" was scheduled to debut in April, but Anna's untimely death left the release date up in the air.

In the movie, Anna is one of three aliens who "morph into super-hot babes and arrive to protect the earth from the intergalactic forces of evil." The cinematic gem's stellar cast also includes Joanie "Chyna Doll" Laurer and "Dynasty" star John James. For your consideration.

Even though the film is screening "out of competition," it's sure to add to the freakish pandemonium associated with the French film fest. Book your flight now!

77. HEAD GAMES
I'm glad you mentioned the "big horse mouth smile" that ANS was always doing. I never could figure it out. That was one ugly look, showing her gums. One bad looking mouth. Thought I was the only one who noticed that.

81. I am so thrilled that Larry has been proven to be Dannielyn's one and only true Daddy. I hope that someday he will meet and marry some very nice young women with high standards and good morals, that will love both Larry and Dannielyn and make a good mommie for Dannielyn. I don't know how she is going to handle the things she will probably learn about her mother, ANS. I wish she didn't have to hear the bad stuff about ANS, just good stuff for her own sake, meaning for Dannielyn's sake. If she bonded with someone else that was a wonderful loving mommie to her, it could really help her, maybe not take all the pain away about her mother, but maybe she would feel secure and loved by the mommie she bonds with. I hope all the important people in her life that really love her know of all the good positive things to say to her as she grows up. At least I can hope and pray for these things for this beautiful little baby. I pray that she will be loved, protected and will be heathly in both mind and body, and be a very very happy person all her days.

83. Not only is "he" homeless, he is broke, has no way to make money, no job...and no rights to Anything ANNA, own's back taxes, got fined 10 K for messing with the courts, and LOTS of money to lawyers...I sure am glad I am not in his shoes.!!! ...Of course he could well "HIS" story....I have to wonder who would believe one word of it. thou, ..or care to even see it or read it...but, it is his right to do it.

"He" say's he is going to stay on the lsland to be with Anna and Daniel.....Hmmmm...they don't care if he is there or not....someone needs to inform him....they are dead...gone, moved on....He's stuck...its truly sad if you think about it. One very ill man that needs a lot of therapy..and not from that nut Dr Anna had around her...You know which one...the Shrink that wrote all those scripts....!!!! I wonder who HER shrink is, seems to me she needs one badly.

I am just so thrilled that Larry fought for his daughter and that she will have more then HALF a chance at a normal life away from all those very ill people.

And Bonnie Stern......how's that dead body working these days!!!

84. trash me if you like but moe writting a book is wrong and so is her sister that she didn't have anything to do with. only person that should be doing a book is someone that does bio's and is going to get a view point from everyone in her life, i dont see that happening for a long time.
I feel that HKS did what he thought was right for ANS and DL. He did all he could to hold true to ANS he thought he was the father but also knew there was a chance that LB was so if he wanted to stay in DL's life he had to let the chips fall where they may otherwise lose keeping in touch with her forever. HKS loved ANS and DS and of course DL but he until he was with ANS never dealt with someone with a problem like this and being an enabler means you try to help the person and keep things undercontrol for them. LB was stronger in some ways at not being an enabler but both were. I do feel that LB pushed her when she wasn't up to dealing with it. I also feel that for her to do the things she did with life in someways was great but in other ways very sad she showed all the signs of a grown abused child. if ppl really watch the et mommy dearest tape they will see that she had been running all her life from that. no her mother did the best she could but not dealing with abuse of a child means it is still a pain that goes unhealed. Until ANS was able to deal with it with out drugs things were not going to change. That kind of pain doesn't go away til you deal with it. She needed something that her mother didn't understand that a hug and admitting that they werent there when they were needed would have helped heal that wound. and all the drugs and anything else that went with it would have gone away also. Everyone enjoyed the show that ANS gave if only they had of realized it was real not a joke how many would have enjoyed the laugh then. Its really sad i wonder if HKS will ever tell all he knows and why he doesn't want that babynear her family i'm sure he saw more of the pain than anyone else. I have seen it with lots of abused children. Its is something that has to be dealt with over and over again in the persons life til they can deal with all areas. So does the family members acting like it didn't happen only makes it worse. i truly feel for all parties in this mess most of all i feel for the lost lives that could have been saved long before the days they passed away. all could have been stopped with a simple" i'm sorry "and a hug and "i love you". no matter how many times in llife it keeps coming back up these simple things work wonders. so sad

Day of Victory & Time to Reflect

Yesterday, Larry Birkhead came out of the courthouse, his arms raised in victory like he’d just won the Tour de France or a NASCAR race. “I hate to be the one who tells you this,” the newly minted father gleamed to the waiting crowd, “but I told you so.” A torrid saga that might have ended on a dignified note ended, instead, with bragging rights. It was an unbecoming display of showmanship, but perhaps expected. It would be my hope that when the battle cry of victory is replaced with the cry of teething pains, and consultations with attorneys are replaced by interviews with nannies, that Birkhead will take some responsibility for helping create the chaos of the last year. That, when he portions out his anger and assigns blame for the time he missed with his daughter, he also acknowledges that his actions were a significant factor in the Bahamian escape and the tragedy that followed.
The media has done a good job creating a hero out of Birkhead and through them, the majority of the public has come to see him as a gold-crowned hero in an otherwise muddy arena. The sensationalistic villification of others, including Anna Nicole Smith and Howard K. Stern, has contributed to this glowing image. By painting Smith and Stern with the brush of corruption, incompetence or worse, and leaving Birkhead unexamined, the media crafted a black-white paradigm of good and evil. This paradigm may be easy – it may lend itself nicely to two minute sound bites and hysterical rhetoric – but in truth, in reality, and in every objective sense, it is deceptive.
Billions of people walk through this life and out of them relatively few true heroes or villains emerge. The fabric of humanity is more vibrant than a two-tone scheme, and more complex than a paradigm would allow. We hold, each of us, a duality of good and bad; of heroism and the antihero. It’s this duality that challenges us; makes us struggle, and forces us to conscientious self-awareness.
When Birkhead challenged Smith, and then Stern, for paternity there was a line of publicity drawn that placed Birkhead purely on the side of “good.” It seems, given his public statements, that Birkhead may actually believe his own PR. That he may continue to assign blame to others while exonerating himself.
Perhaps it is simple immaturity, or a lack of time to self-reflect, but Birkhead –- who has lost few opportunities to publicly speak on his case –- has yet to accept any responsibility for his role in the Smith tragedy. With Smith dead, he seems to have shifted all blame to her partner of twelve years, Howard K. Stern. Stern has become the fall guy in a narrowly scripted story that has left plenty of room for blame and accusations, but almost none for stark truths about humanness. About loyalty, friendship, and love –- however misguided they may be perceived – or about mistakes, of which Birkhead, along with others, made his share.
Birkhead’s Role in the Anna Nicole Smith Tragedy
While Stern’s place in Smith’s life has been microscopically examined by investigators, attorneys and media pundits for several months, Birkhead’s role has been given no more than a passing glance.
Yet it was Birkhead who pursued Smith, and dated her for two years, knowing she had an addiction to prescription drugs. It was Birkhead who twice impregnated Smith, knowing she was not on a path to even acknowledge, let alone treat her addiction, and it was he who was Smith’s boyfriend during her two most infamous displays of public intoxication. In a hospital room, he claims to have seen a duffel bag of drugs belonging to his pregnant girlfriend, yet he did nothing about it.
Birkhead took his case to the court of television before taking any legal action, putting public pressure on a vulnerable, scared and pregnant Smith. It was Birkhead’s threats to pursue custody of the yet-unborn child and sue for child support that led Smith to seek shelter in the Bahamas, and his “friends” that helped make it possible.
Birkhead introduced Smith to the shady Thompson-Shelley clan. And it was Thompson – not Stern – who arranged her Bahamian stay and set her up in a house, complete with maids and nannies. Stern was not responsible for this decision. He was not the “legal wrangler” trying to pull a fast one over on Birkhead.
It was these friends of Birkhead’s who stole items from Dannielynn’s nursery and sold her mother’s personal tapes to the media. When Dannielynn sees the “clown” video, it will be thanks to Ford Shelley. When the artwork stolen from her nursery goes up for auction on Ebay, and one of the only gifts she ever received from her mother ends up in the hands of a collector, this will be the doing of Birkhead’s friends, not Stern’s.
The limelight Birkhead sought for his case brought the made-for-television pitbulls into the ring. Debra Opri signed on, and her strategy was to defame Stern – to villainize him as puppet master, enabler, and more. Smith, meanwhile, was made out to be no more than a strung-out, vapid, incompetent waste of a human being. It’s a strategy of comparison. Make mud figures out of two people and put a halo on the third, and the one with the halo will come out clean, with all of the glory and none of the hard questions thrown their way. The strategy worked. The damage to others, dead and alive, is irrevocable
“How dare you bury that kid with a cross,” read one of Birkhead’s e-mails to Anna shortly after her son died. Venomous words for a grieving mother, exhibiting no compassion and no care for a frail, broken heart. Where some bridge might have been built, some human empathy shown, there was only more debris, and more cause for Smith to want to barricade herself against assault.
Stern’s Loyalty & the “Half a Billion Dollar Baby”
It is little wonder that Stern, by Anna’s side for twelve years, through court battles and personal demons, would want to shelter her from yet more sorrow and pain. Mr Stern needed no refuge the Bahamas. He went because that’s where Smith was. He stayed out of love. And given Smith’s public statements, it would appear that in all probability she did tell Stern, as well as Thompson and Birkhead, that he may be the father. Given Stern’s deep attachment to Smith, there is no doubt that he desperately wanted to be.
Despite many speculations about monetary motives, it was Stern who was there for Smith whether she was fat, depressed, struggling – or confident, happy and on her way back up. It was Stern who held Anna after the loss of her precious son. It was Stern who tried to help her heal. A grieving, devastated Stern who saw to it that Dannielynn was cared for even while he was charged with fighting on Anna’s behalf, to see that her last wishes were fulfilled.
Stern would be compensated for his legal work on the Marshall case if he was with Smith full-time or not. However, 6% of nothing – which is what the Marshall case is worth right now – is zero. A mockery was made of the fact that Stern worked for free – for the pittance of room and board. Yet, by some strange play on the human imagination, he’s also supposed to have done this – for twelve years – for the love of money. For the love an occasional pair of shoes and rent. But outside of that mythical Marshall settlement, Anna’s estate has got to be close to bankrupt. Between the various lawsuits, the lifestyle, and not having worked for over a year, Anna could hardly be called wealthy. She had her looks. She had a name, even if it was a bit tarnished. Now, thanks to her death, but also thanks in no small part to rabid attorneys and press, Anna’s name is more than tarnished – it’s forever stained.
Birkhead Should Look Behind Him
Maybe Smith never told Birkhead what her “childlife” was like, but common sense would tell most of us that one doesn’t go from being a child, to high school dropout, to teen mother to stripper by way of some unparalleled path, or some stroke of cosmic misfortune. Mr. Birkhead needs to turn his head, because standing right behind him with her brigade of contingency bigwigs and a knife at his back, is the one who helped shape Anna Nicole Smith’s destiny. The one that watched her own daughter’s childhood end on a dime and miserably. The one who didn’t fight for her own daughter’s future when it might have made a difference, is now claiming to have Dannielynn’s best interests at heart. Those best interests, according to her multi-million dollar lawyer, include Virgie Arthur as guardian, custodian, and grandmother.
Despite Arthur’s previous claim that Stern and drugs caused a ten year rift between mother and daughter, court records indicate a series of rifts that began when Smith was fifteen. Smith’s allegations of childhood abuse and rapes notwithstanding, it would appear that there was a level of toxicity in the relationship, that ebbed and flowed for decades. Smith, stating the bromide of “honor thy mother,” never elaborated on the allegations, but it seems probable that they were not made simply as revenge for her mother’s televised accusations of murder. Smith’s troubled adolescence should stand in stead of testimony on this matter.
Smith was adamant that her mother not come anywhere near Dannielynn. If Smith were alive, Arthur could not overtake that wish and insinuate herself in Dannielynn’s life. The courts and Birkhead, instead of trying to strike some deal, should be cognizant of Smith’s reasons and not try to achieve “balance” by triangulizing Birkhead-Arthur-Dannielynn. Arthur should not, by way of her daughter’s tragic death, get to take Smith’s previous place as legal guardian or actual caretaker of Dannielynn.

89. GRETA'S SHOW HAD A ROUND ROBIN OF ATTORNEYS. GRETA ASKED NOT TO ANSWER AS LAWYERS BUT IF THEY WERE HOWARDS FRIENDS WHAT WOULD YOU ADVISE HOWARD TO DO. A FEW SAID LEAVE THE BAHAMA'S BECAUSE THEY CAN'T FORCE HIM TO THE INQUEST. THEY ALL AGREED THAT THEY COULD NOT IMAGINE BEING HOWARDS FRIEND,

O;QUINE WAS ON AND SAID THAT HE THOUGHT THAT LARRY AND VERGIE WILL WORK THINGS OUT. HIS EYES WERE SHINING LIKE HE WAS HAPPY.

MOST OF THE SHOW CENTERED AROUND THE DUKE LACROSS TEAM CASE.

I agree with you all the way.Howard needs to tell the trith from here on out. I saw it in his eyes that he is not well. His anger towards Virgie is Anna's anger..not his own. He needs to let go of Anna and start thinking for himself. It's kinda creepy when he says he will not leave her even after she is gone. As a human..there is a time for weaping and healing. Fighting in court battles is not a way to do it. He is programed on a 12 years of what ever you want to call it. All parties would beifit from healing at this point.Thank you for seeing things in this light!
