"Undercover Brother" Crashes $1.5 Million Ferrari

Comedian Eddie Griffin saw his life (and his bank account) flash before his eyes Monday after he smashed a $1.5 million Ferrari Enzo into a concrete wall during a charity event at Irwindale Speedway, leaving the ultra-expensive sports car a smoking pile of twisted metal.

The high-speed collision, captured on tape by KCBS in Los Angeles took place during rehearsals for a charity event called "Race for a Cause." Griffin, who starred in "Undercover Brother" and "Norbit," left the crash scene in an ambulance, although he did not suffer any serious injuries and seemed to be in good spirits.

The luxury automobiles used in the charity event were part of a promotion for the film "Redline," a movie about the high-end world of high-performance sports cars.

7. Not sure who's covering this story, but Enzo's start at $1 million, base model... A good one will easily set you back $1.25 million. Not to mention they're out of production so brochure price has nothing to do with it anymore. I'm a girl and I know this stuff! Come on guys! I love this site, but you guys really need to learn to do your research before posting stories. Hope like hell it was insured! What a shame!

9. Now that everyone has pointed out that you are about $1.25mil out for this particular Enzo, can I ask how you came up with $250,000 instead of the $1,500,000? Did you just pick a number? Your imaginary price would hardly cover a new set of rims windshield and gearbox on this puppy.

10. INSURANCE WILL NOT PAY FOR INTENTIONAL ACTIONS THAT WILL WARRANT A HUGE LOSS .. NOT EVEN LORDS OF LONDON DOES THAT ANYMORE. OWNERS WERE MOST LIKELY SELF INSURED AND THEY'RE EATING IT. ALL GONE.. So easy come, easy go. No matter the price, there was no value in the car, unless of course this ends up being a very commercial elegance for the car manufacturer and then it would pay for them to replace it in free advertising. Start here...
