FOX to Cooper: "You're Paris Hilton!"

In the world of conservative news nerds, calling someone "Paris Hilton" is an insult. That "slur" has now been hurled by FOX News at grey-haired golden boy Anderson Cooper.

In the latest issue of Television Week, the right-leaning cable net ran a two-page ad with the screaming headline: "MEET THE PARIS HILTON OF TELEVISION NEWS." Anderson isn't pictured or named, but there's a photo, taken from behind, of a slim, grey-haired man in a suit.

The ad also says that "Anderson" is "style over substance" and a "media darling." But here's the kicker: "He still gets beat EVERY NIGHT BY ... Greta Van Susteren." Ouch.

The spat erupted last week when Cooper took a shot at FOX News for hyping Insight magazine's incorrect story that Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama had attended a radical Islamic school as a child in Indonesia. "Others are reporting the heat. We are sticking to the facts," Cooper said at the time.

You call FOX inaccurate, they call you Paris Hilton. So there!

1. II think most of the public has no confidence in the news because of blatantly stupid incidents such as the comments Fox News has made. CNN isn't any better in that they actually responded to this nonsense. Maybe if the news media circus actually focused on real news, the public might get information that is actually useful and relevant. Fox is no more fair and balanced than CNN is trusted.

7. I don't dislike VanSusteran, but she doesn't have the class and credibilty of Anderson Cooper. She goes for the jugular in search of a story. Sort of like TMZ.

8. I completely agree with the first poster. These news outlets need to stick to reporting the news and quit bashing each other.

But, I do have to say that comparing Anderson Cooper to Paris Hilton was going a bit too far. Anderson is an award-winning journalist, who graduated from Yale. Paris, on the other hand, is a useless druggie tramp.

I don't know of any media/press that is not slanted either too far to the left or right. As far as Greta having to go "under the knife to be presentable for air"
if you are going to play fair; I can't think of too many television or film people who haven't gone under the knife.

ALSO, I HEAR THAT HILLARY CLINTON IS WAITING TO HIT BARACK OBAMA WHERE IT HURTS WHEN SHE DISCLOSES HIM AS A MUSLIM (IS HE A RADICAL MUSLIM OR NOT?)

10. Most of the comparison comes from the fact his grandparents were the Vanderbilts and the Whitneys, two of the Richest families in New York and the United States at the time.

So hes a rich kid that likes to wear Gucci, Ralph Lauren. So what. Hes a very sharp looking dude.

11. Interesting how you call Fox News the "right leaning" cable net. Why don't you call CNN what it is... the LEFT-LEANING news net?!!! Look who's biased after all!!!
