This is not about race, it's about an accident which resulted in a woman losing her life. Yes, it was an accident, but if she was speeding, or distracted in some way, she needs to take responsibility for causing the death of a woman.

Let's cut this racial crap thing out; you've had your freedom for several hundreds of years, so stop the whining already (besides whitey learned about slavery from African slave holders, a practice that continues to this day and perpetrated by other Africans). Brandy's skin color has nothing to do with the police doing their job. I guess these race-based groups would feel better if she were to be excused for her careless actions that killed another person because of her skin color and talentless celebrity? According to the victim's husband's attorney, it took twenty days for an apology to surface and it wasn't even offered by Brandy, but by her publicist. Any so-called race groups asserting that the police are out to get Brandy because she's a person of color need to step back and realize that it's this type of hate against whites is crap that's routinely shoved down the throats of law abiding people; blacks constantly using the race card as an excuse for criminal behavior will continue to keep them in inexcusable and doesn't serve their own race very well or in a positive light. There aren't multiple sets of laws to appease the individual races, either. Brandy is trying to pull an O.J. and a Halle Barry, but neither will work any more. I guess race-based groups would rather that all laws not be enforced when it comes to blacks and excuse their unlawful and criminal actions. Brandy is a disgrace to the human race, never mind her own race. I hope the victim's family sues Brandy to the point where she will no longer have anything. Brandy doesn't deserve anything, including people having any sympathy for her. Those that do so are ignorant racist morons. And, at least Brandy continues to breath and have family and friends.

81. I think you guys need to let up on her some. You don't think she feels awful right now? And all everyone can do is fight over racial issues. A child is without a mother right now. And if Brandy went to jail her kids would be without a mother too. Yes, she is @ fault, and she does deserve some type of punishment as well as give the family a large sum of money. Also, start an account for the woman's child. So that when the child gets older, he or she has something to give them a financial headstart.

83. As an African American female the fats as being reported are this: She rear-ended someone, automatic AT FAULT, they DIED, automatic filing of charges. OBVIOUSLY she didn't intend for that person to die, BUT they did. She is being treated like anyone else would be regardless of color. Not EVERYTHING is about race. Those who are complaining need to grow up. I'm more surprised no one got wind of this for a whole month considering her alleged "celebrity"

87. This is such bullsh*t! This has nothing to do with her being black or a celebrity! She played a major part in accident where someone died as a result of her actions. She obviously didn't mean to do it, but she should have to pay a price just like any other normal citizen. However, because she has money and good lawyers, she will probably never have to really sacrifice anything over this. So what the hell are the civil rights people so up in arms over?

90. If I may...#63 how on earth to you compare death to a jail???? If convicted she's ONLY in there for less than a yr. Try telling that to the childrens who's mother was killed!! Brandy's kids will be in great care while she serves her time(if she even does) and get to see their mother on visiting days and when she finally returns home... Now what about this womans children??? They have to grow up without their mother. How can you even COMPARE that? I think people are forgetting a woman DIED... no longer alive...no more nothing to share with her family. What if it was your mother or husband or wife??? Let's see you settle with a fine!!!!
