Wanda: "Gay is the New Black"

Comedienne Wanda Sykes joked to Ellen DeGeneres that African-Americans have "overcome" -- now that they are the ones dishing out bigoted comments instead of receiving them!

Sykes, guesting on Friday's episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," made fun of the fact that Isaiah Washington was going to "rehab" after his homophobic comments about "Grey's Anatomy" co-star T.R. Knight. "Gay rehab? That sounds like traffic school. You should be able to do that online."

After opining on the irony of the whole situation, Sykes joked, "Maybe gay is the new black now."

I love tmz..and ill continue to visit, read and post..but WHY does everything turn into racial slurs. and this race is better, or worse..its silly. everyone grow up. and get with the times. everyone on this planet is equel..no matter color, sex, sexuality., religion, creed, wife, mother daughter, son. father. .we are all the same..we all bleed the same color, we all hurt the same. whats the matter with this world? we should all be standing up for each other. this world is going to hell and fast..if we are not already there... be proud of your race..and stop with the racism..all of you. I understand that rascim is still a big issue, but if we all stood up and said..im just like you..the hate would stop..Im white..and I love everyone equally...period. there is no color to anyone in my eyes..just deeds. and personality. there is no ugly or pretty either, just life. stop and think we are all people!!!! you dont see that german shepard attacking that pitt bull cause its a differnt race do you?

34. I liked it better back in the 60's-70's when the homos kept it to themselves.
They act like they're an actual race. Gay is a BEHAVIOR, not a race.

36. Just remember that being gay is something that affects all races. For my fellow african-americans and white gay people who think being gay and being african-american are mutally exclusive, I suggest that you look up Bayard Rustin ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayard_Rustin ) and Audre Lorde ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audre_Lorde ) .
