Suzanne Somers' Home Destroyed in Fire

TMZ has confirmed that the home of Suzanne Somers was completely destroyed in a fast-moving fire that also engulfed several other multi-million dollar homes in Malibu. Most homes in the area go for between $5 and $15 million.

The blaze burned near Malibu Colony, one of the area's original beachfront neighborhoods. The densely built stretch of luxury homes is a favorite of celebrities, and boasts such residents as Mel Gibson, Pierce Brosnan, Pamela Anderson, Barbra Streisand, Ted Danson, David Geffen and Courteney Cox-Arquette.

136. I just wanted to say that losing your home during a fire is a very dramatic situation. What does it matter what Susan looks like or how much money she makes? The point is she made enough to have a nice home and maybe if some people would get jobs and go to work everyday they wouldnt be making stupid commits about it only takes a dollar to feed her and her plastic surgery looks awful. Well at least she can afford to have plastic surgery. ( If she did or not i dont really know) Are you jealous about the fact that she could afford to have it and the fact that you cannot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

137. It's has nothing to do with whether or not Suzanne and her husband are rich and live in one of the most exclusive areas of California..I feel bad for her and her husband because they just seem like they are very nice people ..you have never really heard anything bad about either of them ..but only good things about her and I wish her the best of luck..we all know they can afford a new mansion but the fact remains its sad they lost there old one...there are some things that I'm sure can never be replaced...Goodluck to both of them..

138. I think Suzanne Summers is a wonderful person and I LOVED 3's Company. I still watch reruns of the show. Suzanne You look good , and Dont let anyone put you down. You lost a lot do to this fire. And no one should talk bad to you . Lets see how they might feel if they lost all there belongings in a fire. Just because you have money doesnt mean you can buy back photographs. take care and god bless.

139. I am sorry to hear this! Its not only the material value of things that matters, its the memories one builds around a home. I admire Suzanne Sommers; she battled breast cancer, suffered a serious career setback years ago, but worked her way up again in areas that are not related to acting. The lady and her hubby have brains. :)

141. I'm so sorry Suzanne. You're in our prayers. And to all the others who lost their homes and memories, and pets. We're so very sorry.

142. It doesn't matter how much money you have, money cannot replace memories and such irreplacable items such as phots. I am an loyle follower of Suzanne's nutritional program and her research in the bioidentical hormone field. She had not had plastic surgery. She has admitted to I believe injectible fillers she has once a year. That is not plastic surgery and it is HSN not QVC.

143. Suzanne has earned every penny of her reported millions because she's a talented entrepreneur but also she's got what most Hollywood people don't have - a long term marriage where her partner supports her businesses and show biz career.. These bimbo's nowadays who jump around from partner to partner should be looking at the good example Suzanne and Alan have shown.

It saddened me to hear of their house burning down but her positive attitude about rebuilding and why she's not totally crushed is not to be ignored. Btw, I'm not a paying fan, don't buy any of her products and probably never will. I just admire the woman and the man behind her.

145. I think Suzanne Somers responded to the tragedy w/grace and put a perspective on it few of us could match. Of course maybe it helps that she knew she could AFFORD to rebuild but that still doesn't erase the tragedy of losing your personal possessions and the sense of 'loss'.

The plastic surgery comment was way out of line. She looks better than a lot of women & I have always admired her happy nature and spirit.

146. I am very sorry to hear about your loss Suzanne! What a tragedy. You sound like a women who has a tremendous amount of strengh and courage. You are counting your blessings in the midst of a terrible circumstance! Alot of us can learn by your example! The people who are joking in the midst of this tragedy are extremly immature and need to grow up! Take your jokes somewhere else. God Bless you and I will pray for you in this difficult time.

147. Now Suzanne, Losing your home is a tragedy. I am very sorry for your loss. Now my friends home was in the lower 9th ward and he did not get the same press coverage as you. You will be reimbursed well by the insurance company and rebuild. My friend is, to date, waiting on any information to settle his loss of everything. Now go to your other multi-million dollar home and sulk.

148. Geez people...Her house burnt down, she comes to see what happened and a hundred TV news crews are hovering around her...how she looked, what she said, how much success or money she has really isnt the point here....she probably just wanted to lean on her husbands shoulder and cry, like most of us would. Instead she put on a brave face and was very gracefull. Im sure she knows that she is blessed to be well off, and she isnt asking for anything. Some of her words were taken out of context, what else is new?? I understood what she meant, and most people with any brains did as well....you probably won't see this Suzanne, but I'll send my best wishes to you and Al anyway.....no need for the nasty comments from the sickos, I wont read them, I just wanted to send this out to the universe.....thanks

149. In response to A.J. who has a dollar to mail to Suzanne, I would suggest that you take that dollar and save it, just in case the same thing happens to you(hopefully ) ! It does not matter if they have money or not, they still lost their "life"as they knew it, as well as all their belongings that were precious to them. Your sick and envious jealousy is pathetic !! These people may have more than you have, but they have put themselves out there to work hard and better their life. And what have you done with YOURS? ENVY IS JUST SO UGLY !!! CB
